The Byrds Avalon Ballroom San Francisco November 2nd 1968

Avalon Ballroom, San Francisco, November 2nd 1968 is an archive released live album by The Byrds.

I find it hard to remember the changes to the band’s membership but at this stage, The Byrds were Roger McGuinn (guitar), Clarence White (guitar), Gene Parsons (drums) and John York (bass). keeping up with their styles as they moved from folk rock to psychedelic rock to country rock to a mix of everything. This has strong country influences

Peter Paul & Mary In Concert 1964

Peter, Paul & Mary In Concert is a live album recorded and originally released in 1964.

This folk band were an early favourite of mine in early childhood because of the song Puff The Magic Dragon. Of course, when I was five years old, I wasn’t looking for secret messages in the lyrics.

Discogs lists a version of this released in France in 1962 but that can’t be right. Bob Dylan didn’t release the song and album The Times They Are A’Changin’ until 1964.
