Live Country Rock Albums From the 1990s
Wikipedia defines country music as…
“Country music is a genre of American popular music that originated in Southern United States, in Atlanta, Georgia in the 1920s. It takes its roots from the southeastern genre of American folk music and Western music. Blues modes have been used extensively throughout its recorded history. Country music often consists of ballads and dance tunes with generally simple forms and harmonies accompanied by mostly string instruments such as banjos, electric and acoustic guitars, fiddles, and harmonicas. The term country music gained popularity in the 1940s in preference to the earlier term hillbilly music; it came to encompass Western music, which evolved parallel to hillbilly music from similar roots, in the mid-20th century. The term country music is used today to describe many styles and sub genres. The origins of country music are the folk music of mostly white, working-class Americans, who blended popular songs, Irish and Celtic fiddle tunes, traditional ballads, and cowboy songs, and various musical traditions from European immigrant communities.”

Live At Liberty Lunch is a live album by Joe Ely recorded in Austin, Texas in 1990.
This is the same band that recorded Live Chicago 1987 but without saxophonist Bobby Keys or a replacement. There is therefore more of David Grissom’s guitar playing.
Live is a recording of southern soul and blues group The Cate Brothers in concert.
According to AllMusic.com, it was recorded on the 23rd and 24th of October 1998. It was released in August 1999.
I saw the Cate Brothers perform In One Eye & Out The Other on the Old Grey Whistle Test on BBC2 in about 1976 and I was hooked by their sound.
I don’t understand why they aren’t much better known and much more popular.
Hell Freezes Over is the second live album by The Eagles featuring songs recorded for an MTV special and four new studio tracks.
