Live Albums By Eric Clapton
Eric Clapton is a legendary guitarist who has worked with John Mayall’s Bluesbreakers, Cream, Delaney & Bonney, Derek & The Dominos and as a solo artist.
During that time he has recorded some must hear live albums. In fact I think, with the exception of the great Layla & Other Assorted Love Songs with the Dominos and his Beano album with the Bluesbreakers, his live albums are much more compelling in my opinion than his studio records.
His Unplugged live album was a huge success and helped to popularise the acoustic live album idea although personally, I prefer it when Clapton’s guitar is plugged into the electrical supply.

24 Nights is an Eric Clapton live album recorded during long stints at the Royal Albert Hall, London in 1990 and 1991. It includes five songs from the Journeyman album he was promoting at the time.
During these concerts Clapton was experimenting with different formats of backing band – 4-piece, blues, 9-piece and orchestra nights and all of these are captured on 24 Nights.
A well structured play list stops the album sounding like a messy mixture as each format is grouped together.

Just One Night is a live album by Eric Clapton recorded at the Budokan Theatre, Tokyo, December 1979 when he was promoting the Backless album.
Claton had got into a groove in the late seventies with his easy listening blues albums like No Reason To Cry, Slowhand and Backless but he could still get excited when playing live.
