Thirty Seconds Over Winterland is a live album by Jefferson Airplane.
Despite its title, it was recorded at two venues:
- Chicago Auditorium in Chicago at the concerts on August 24 and 25, 1972
- Winterland Arena, San Francisco on September 21 and 22, 1972
It was released in 1973 as a seven track single album. Since it has been issued on CD, another five tracks have been added.
The concerts at the Winterland turned out to be the last live performances by Jefferson Airplan until they reunited in 1989.
By this stage, Jefferson Airplane had moved away from their psychedelic rock of the late 1960s to a more commercial sound, paving the way for the transition into Jefferson Starship.
