Cook is a live album by Italian prog rock group Premiata Forneria Marconi or PFM for a shorter, easier to say name.It has also been released as Live In The USA.
It was recorded in Cleveland and Toronto in 1974.
Progressive rock was popular in Italy in the early to mid 1970s and as well as supporting British bands, they also had a thriving prog rock scene of their own.
Premiata Forneria Marconi were one of the leading lights and Greg Lake of Emerson, Lake and Palmer had them signed for Manticore and tried to break them in the English speaking countries.
Their Italian classic from 1972 Per Un Amico effectively became Photos of Ghosts thanks to new lyrics written by Peter Sinfield.
This live album is partly in English and partly in Italian.
It has been extended in 2010 by adding the entire concert from Central Park, New York City recorded on 31st August 1974. This duplicates some of the tracks but it’s very nice to have.
Live At The Fairfield Halls 1974 is a live album by Canterbury based progressive rock group Caravan.
It was recorded September 1st, 1974 at the Fairfield Hall in Croydon in England. Some of the tracks were released in France in 1980 on The Best Of Caravan Live but it wasn’t on general release until 2002

Encore is a live album by progressive rock group Argent. It was recorded in 1974 as the group toured to promote their studio album Nexus.
Argent did the opposite journey to Genesis.
Argent turned from a high class but not very successful pop rock group to progressive rock while Genesis turned their back on progressive rock and became a highly accomplished pop rock group.
Encore catches Argent very much in their prog rock phase and if you don’t like keyboards and synthesisers you should probably move along.
Argent could well have been forgotten except for the big hit single Hold Your Head Up.
There is also a BBC Radio 1 In Concert live album by Argent at a similar time but it’s difficult to find at a reasonable price.
