The Rolling Stones Sticky Fingers Live

Sticky Fingers is one of the best studio albums by The Rolling Stones and, indeed, one of the best studio albums by any group at any time.

It was recorded between 1969 and 1971 and released in April 1971 and features the classic song Brown Sugar.

It has a notorious album cover featuring the groin of a man and the original vinyl sleeves had a real zip for the fly. The back cover is even more revealing as the denim jeans have come off.

We don’t have a live album from tours promoting Sticky Fingers or the next album, Exile On main Street so the songs haven’t made as many appearances as you might expect on the many live recordings by The Rolling Stones.

In May 2015, The Rolling Stones performed the entire Sticky Fingers live in concert and the recording has been released as Sticky Fingers Live.

This article also needs to be updated for recent releases including the re-releases of the Sticky Fingers studio album with live tracks from 1971.

The Rolling Stones Stripped 1995

Stripped is the album by The Rolling Stones which is their equivalent on an “Unplugged” album which were so popular in the mid 90s.

It was recorded in 1995 and comes from some small gigs and some “live in the studio” recordings.

It sounds very different from the guitar heavy version of The Rolling Stones that blazes away on Get Yer Ya Ya’s Out and Brussels Affair.

The Rolling Stones Brussels Affair 1973

Brussels Affair is an official, authorised version of a famous Rolling Stones bootleg from the 1973 Goats Head Soup tour.

It’s brilliant.

Fans of the Stones have wanted this release for years as it catches the mark 2 version of the band with Mick Taylor rather than Brian Jones in their full glory

If you like Get Yer Ya Ya’s Out, you’ll love The Brussels Affair.

If you’re a fan of The Rolling Stones, then Get Yer Ya Ya’s Out is a must own album from the start of the Mark 2 Stones – without Brian Jones but with Mick Taylor on lead guitar – recorded in New York and Maryland in November 1969 just before Let It Bleed was released. Ya Ya’s was released in September 1970. The Rolling Stones Get Yer Ya Ya's Out Continue reading The Rolling Stones Get Yer Ya Ya’s Out 1969

Official Rolling Stones Bootlegs

I’m excited because I’ve just visited the official Rolling Stones fan club and it seems that some of the classic Rolling Stones bootlegs are now approved for sale.

There’s a Rolling Stones archive site where you can buy Rolling Stones bootlegs and it says officially authorised.

Is it a scam? I don’t think so because the link comes from rollingstones.com
