What Is The Best Live Reggae Album?

Help me to discover what is generally considered to be the best live album by a reggae artist by voting in my poll please.

You’re going to need to give me a hand on this by recommending your favourites if they are not listed. I very much regret missing the opportunity to see Bob Marley when he came to my home town around about Exodus. Linton Kwesi Johnson is the only one I’ve seen live and my knowledge is very much stuck in the seventies.

Here are the albums nominated so far – you can vote for up to 5 of your favourites.

My Thoughts On The Results So Far – October 2014

The top 5

  1. Babylon By Bus by Bob Marley
  2. Live (at The Lyceum) by Bob Marley
  3. Live by Toots & the Maytals
  4. Rastafari Centennial by Steel Pulse
  5. Live In Paris by Burning Spear

Bob Marley Babylon By Bus

It is inevitable that this poll will be dominated by Bob Marley unless it gets promoted on a few specialised reggae websites.

I’d love to get some comments on:

  • Great live reggae albums that I’ve missed
  • Why you have voted for the albums you did.
