Live At Winterland is a live album by Jimi Hendrix recorded over three nights in October 1968 at Winterland, San Francisco.
The first time Live At Winterland was issued, there were eleven tracks plus a prologue and epilogue. In the 1992 edition, three more songs were added.
In 2011 a much larger Winterland box set was issued which will be reviewed separately.

Hendrix was such an extraordinary performer and innovating so quickly during the 1967 to 1970 period that I’ve convinced myself that I MUST have a live album from each year:
- 1967 Monterey
- 1968 Winterland
- 1969 Royal Albert Hall, London
- 1970 Band Of Gypsys / Live At The Fillmore (strictly it was on the cusp as 1969 turned into 1970 but the Experience had ended and Hendrix had his new band.)
What People Say
Buying Jimi Hendrix Live At Winterland
There is the longer Winterland album to consider but this has its merits because it’s a more concise listening experience.
