What Is The Best Climax Blues Band Live Album?

The Climax Blues Band were my local band when I was a teenager growing up in Stafford. I therefore have an emotional connection to this excellent blues rock band.

The band were at their strongest when the guitarist and sometimes lead singer, Pete Haycock was a member. He left in 1985 and died in 2013. The lead singer, Colin Cooper was a member of the band until he died in 2008. It was his wish that the band carried on after his death.

They are another of the bands that fit into my “great guitar plus saxophone” preference and perhaps they were one of the early bands that shaped this bias. Both Cooper and Haycock were also good vocalists.
