When Keith Emerson left The Nice to form ELP, two other members – singer and bassist Lee Jackson and drummer Brian Davison – recruited Patrick Moraz and formed a new band called Refugee.

They only stayed together for one studio album before Moraz was poached by Yes to replace Rick Wakeman.
