The Band played four concerts at the Academy of Music in New York in the last week of December in 1971 and these concerts became the source for Rock Of Ages.
The DVD is not a film of the concert but a photo montage with music.

I think the two CD extended version of Rock Of Ages is terrific and can see little attraction in this release, partly because the excellent contributions from the horn section are hard to hear in the mix.
There are two songs that are worth downloading – Strawberry Wine and Smoke Signal – because they are missing from the extended version of Rock Of Ages.
