I’ve wasted too many years not knowing about the excellent live music created by southern blues rock and jam band, Gov’t Mule led by Warren Haynes who has also played with the Allman Brothers Band and the Grateful Dead.
The live albums to consider from general releases are:
- 1995 Live at Roseland Ballroom
- 1996 The Georgia Bootleg Box
- 1998 Live With A Little Help From Our Friends
- 1999 Mulennium
- 2003 The Deepest End
- 2007 Holy Haunted House
- 2008 Dark Side Of The Mule
These days their concerts are recorded and available for sale from their website. There could well be some little known jewels in amongst these recordings.
I’ve also included in the poll the live albums recorded ny Warren Haynes as a solo artist or with his own band.
- 2003 Live at Bonnaroo
- 2012 Live at the Moody Theater
I can’t stop playing the Moody Theater recording. I think it is exceptionally good.
