It is sold as part of the deluxe version of A Love Supreme because the bonus tracks include this live performance from the Antibes Jazz Festival in France in July 1965.

This is one of the best loved and most respected jazz albums of all-time, let alone the 1960s. Unfortunately the studio version is one of those highly regarded albums that I’ve tried to like without find much worth getting excited about it.
In my opinion it’s noisy and has little melody. I enjoy Coltrane when he plays ballads and improvises around the melody but this freer style isn’t for me.
I accept that I’m missing something because so many people – jazz critics and the general public – rave about it and find great spirituality in the album.
