Dizzy Gillespie Live In 1948

Live In 1948 is a live album by Dizzy Gillespie and his Orchestra.

It was recorded in Paris at the Salle Pleyel on Feb 28, 1948 and at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium in Pasadena on July 19, 1948.

These big band recordings are notable for the Cuban percussion of Chano Pozo on congas and bongas which began a lifelong interest in Latin American and African rhythms.
