Serious Hits Live is a live album recorded by Phil Collins in 1990.
If you thought the Phil Collins led Genesis turned its back on prog rock and veered towards pop rock after Steve Hackett left, his solo career showed that there was much further to travel.
It’s hard to deny that “In The Air Tonight” isn’t a great song but there is also some mushy stuff here.
Room Temperature is a live album by Peter Hammill ( from Van Der Graaf Generator) on his tour in 1990.
Tripping The Live Fantastic Highlights is a live album by Paul McCartney recorded at concerts in 1989 and 1990.
It has simultaneously released in two forms – Tripping The Live Fantastic and the Highlights album.
Having owned them both, I think it’s worth reviewing them separately. As far as I’m concerned, if you Love The Beatles, then this is a must have album.
This is Paul McCartney’s first live album since Wings Over America.

Live At Liberty Lunch is a live album by Joe Ely recorded in Austin, Texas in 1990.
This is the same band that recorded Live Chicago 1987 but without saxophonist Bobby Keys or a replacement. There is therefore more of David Grissom’s guitar playing.
Flashpoint is a live album by The Rolling Stones recorded in late 1989 and 1990 while the group promoted their Steel Wheels album on the Urban Jungle tour.
It also includes two new songs recorded in the studio – Highwire and Sex Drive.
A Round and a Bout is a live album by British new wave group Squeeze, recorded in January 1990while the group was promoting their album called Frank.
Squeeze came to prominence with the punk/new wave movement in the late seventies and had success with both singles and albums. The band broke up in 1982 but came back together in 1985 but never recovered their prominence.
24 Nights is an Eric Clapton live album recorded during long stints at the Royal Albert Hall, London in 1990 and 1991. It includes five songs from the Journeyman album he was promoting at the time.
During these concerts Clapton was experimenting with different formats of backing band – 4-piece, blues, 9-piece and orchestra nights and all of these are captured on 24 Nights.
A well structured play list stops the album sounding like a messy mixture as each format is grouped together.
