Electric Light Orchestra Part 2 Greatest Hits Live

Greatest Hits Live is a live album by the Electric Light Orchestra Part 2.

It was recorded in Birmingham and has The Moscow Symphony Orchestra playing with ELO Part 2.

This version of ELO doesn’t involve the main singer and songwriter, Jeff Lynne but was formed by ELO founder member Bev Bevan when Lynne didn’t want to record another album or tour. Lynne and Bevan were the owners of the Electric Light Orchestra brand name and they compromised that the new band could be called the Electric Light Orchestra Part 2.

The album seems to have been condensed in the USA to a 10 song version.

Television Live At The Academy NYC 12.4.92

Live At The Academy NYC 12.4.92 is a live album by Television after they reformed to record their third studio album, called Television.

Their 1977 classic, Marquee Moon is one of my favourite studio albums as they created a new wave / art rock sound unlike anyone who had come before and were style extremely, hip with their guitar solos.

If you’re not sure what art rock is, it’s a middle ground between classic rock and prog rock where the emphasis is on musical innovation. Where the aim is commercial success, the music becomes AOR.

My aim is to help you to find the best live albums through readers polls, my own reviews and from bringing in Amazon reviews.
