Live Killers is the first live album by Queen, recorded and released in 1979 from concerts promoting the Jazz studio album.
Long terms fans have been wanting a live queen album from the mid -seventies on their tours to promote A Night At The Opera or A Day At The Races. Nothing has yet appeared, making Live Killers the best souvenir of Queen as a live rock band before they went soft.

Six songs from A Night At The Opera (including Bohemian Rhapsody and God Save The Queen, the two longest songs (Brighton Rock and Now I’m Here) are from Sheer Heart Attack along with a very short Killer Queen and the hits from more recent albums.
Personally I have a problem with six songs from News Of The World and four from Jazz because I turned away from Queen after A Day At The Races.
Here are some videos of Queen performing live at around this time.
We Will Rock You
Death On Two Legs going into Killer Queen
Now I’m Here
Tie Your Mother Down
That’s a little reminder that Queen were a rock band.
I’ve said it before but my favourite Queen live album would have been recorded in 1975 on the Night At The Opera tour or possibly the year after on the Day At the Races tour. I found my interest in Queen trailed away that.
