The first thirteen tracks were recorded at the Hi-Hat in Boston in June, 1950 and the other two in February, 1953.

Playing in 1950 are:

Lester Young – tenor sax
Jesse Drakes – trumpet
Kenny Drew – piano
Joe Schulman – bass
Connie Kay – drums.

In 1953, the piano was played by Horace Silver and the bass by Franklin Skeete.
