What is pop?
For it’s artists who thrive on having hit singles that don’t fit neatly into any other genre and who usually appeal to a young audience. Of course, as we age, we usually still like the pop of our own generation.
I have a poll to find the best pop live albums.
Loading ...Elvis Recorded Live On Stage In Memphis is a live album by Elvis Presley.
It was recorded at Midsouth Coliseum in Memphis, Tennessee on March 20, 1974 and was released in July 1974.
In March 2014 the album was re-released as a two CD set with an extra concert, recorded at the Richmond Coliseum two days before. It also includes some studio demos.

Live at Knebworth is a live album by Robbie Williams.
It was recorded at Knebworth, Hertfordshire in England on Saturday, 2nd August, 2003 and it was released in September 2003. According to Wikipedia, it is the second fastest and biggest selling live album ever in the UK, only beaten by Take That with The Greatest Day.
It’s taken me too long to focus on the live albums by Elvis Presley and now that I’ve done my research, I’m rather overwhelmed.

Aloha From Hawaii via Satellite is a live album by Elvis Presley.
It was recorded at the Honolulu International Center (now called the Neal S. Blaisdell Center) in Honolulu, Hawaii on January 14, 1973. It was broadcast the next day on over 40 countries but, because it clashed with The Superbowl, it wasn’t shown on American TV until April 4, 1973. The double album recording of it was released in February 1973.
The original album featured 24 songs. Five more were added when the CD was remastered in 1998.
In 2013, the Legacy edition of Aloha From Hawaii via Satellite was released with the original album on one CD and the bonus tracks plus a recording of the rehearsal.

Live At Wembley Arena is the second live album by Abba with the full concert from 10 November 1979 in London finally released. This was the sixth night the group had played at the venue on the tour to promote the Voulez-Vous album.
At this stage, Abba were the biggest pop band in the world excluding the United States of America. For some reason, they remained resistant to the charms of Abba apart from a few singles like Dancing Queen and Take A Chance On Me. Elsewhere Abba had a lot of top 5 singles with many going all the way to the top.
Some of these songs have previously appeared on Abba Live but on that album, there was some fixing up in the studio.
Symphonica is a live album by George Michael recorded on his 2011/12 tour while he is backed by an orchestra.
One Night Only is a live album and DVD by the Bee Gees recorded in 1997.
Live In London is a live CD and DVD recorded by Barry Manilow at the O2 Arena, London in 2011.
There are 16 songs on the CD and 13 on the DVD.
