Bitches Brew Live is a live album by Miles Davis.
It includes:
3 PREVIOUSLY UNISSUSED TRACKS recorded July 5, 1969 at NEWPORT JAZZ FESTIVAL including the first ever professionally recorded live version of “Miles Runs The Voodoo Down” and the first known recording of the revamped electric version of “Sanctuary”
The band for the Newport performance was:
Miles Davis – trumpet
Chick Corea – electric piano
Dave Holland – bass
Jack DeJohnette – drums
Wayne Shorter missed this performance because of traffic problems.

There are a lot of live recordings of Miles Davis in this electric period in the late 1960s but the Newport tracks are very unusual with Davis backed only by the rhythm section.
This isn’t my era of jazz but I can understand that this is an important phase.

Their debut performance in front of an audience was just 6 days before they appeared at this huge festival with acts like Jimi Hendrix and The Who.

Nothing Is Easy: Live at the Isle of Wight 1970 is a live album by Jethro Tull. I think you can work out that this is another live recording from the famous live festival – a British version of Woodstock if you like.
Live At The Isle Of Wight Festival 1970 is The Who recorded on on 29 August 1970, six months after the classic Live At Leeds album and Live At Hull were made.
It was released in 1996, shortly after Live At Leeds had been extended the first time. At that stage Live At The Isle Of Wight Festival was the only legal way to get a prime time recording of The Who performing Tommy.
Since Live At Leeds was further extended by adding in Tommy, this album has become redundant for anyone except The Who completests or people with a particular affection for the 1970 Isle Of Wight Festival.
Unless you want to see the 1970 version of The Who perform live since this has the option of a DVD.

Blue Wild Angel Live at the Isle of Wight captures the last UK live performance by Jimi Hendrix at the Isle of Wight Festival on August 31, 1970. He died a few weeks later.
This concert is available in different forms – as a DVD and either a highlights CD or the full concert so be careful that you buy the one that you want.
Taste Live At the Isle Of Wight was recorded at the big festival on the island in 1970 and showcases Rory Gallagher’s guitar playing.
Rory Gallagher has been one of the main inspirations behind this Best Live Albums blog because I think his Irish Tour 74 album is terrific.
I was listening to the CD and thought that more people need to know about this fantastic live music.
Taste is an earlier 3 piece band with Rory Gallagher on guitar and lead vocals, Richard “Charlie” McCracken on bass and John Wilson on drums.
