Seasons of Lights Laura Nyro in Concert is the first live album released by Laura Nyro but not the first chronological live recording.
This was recorded at concerts on the tour to promote the Smile studio album in 1976 and was released in June 1977. The original version had ten songs but an extended 16 song version has since been released.
The first recording we have is Spread Your Wings And Fly recorded in 1971.

Chicago At Carnegie Hall is a live album by Chicago while they were a jazz rock fusion band and before they moved to soft rock.

Bring On The Night is the first live album by former main-man of The Police, Sting. It was recorded in Paris, Rome and Arnhem between May and December 1985. Bring On The Night is also the name of a documentary about the early solo years of Sting which included the Paris concert.
He’s travelled a long way since the 1983 tour with The Police and the Live In Atlanta recording that is part of The Police Live!
Effectively he’s now the leader of a crack jazz rock group with saxophonist Branford Marsalis, keyboard player Kenny Kirkland (who has often played with Branford and Wynton Marsalis), bassist Darryl Jones (ex Miles Davis and he later went on to play with The Rolling Stones after Bill Wyman left) and drummer Omar Hakim (ex Weather Report and later Miles Davis).

Tour De Force is a live album by Gil Scott-Heron that captures a concert from about 1994.
It has been released in a number of different formats and edits but I believe that Tour De Force is the most comprehensive. It’s also the version I bought so it’s the one I’m best qualified to talk about.
Variations of Tour De Force have been released as:
Minister of Information: Live
The Best Of Gil Scott-Heron Live
Save The Children
Winter In America, Summer In Europe
Greatest Hits Live

Live At The Bottom Line August 20, 1977 is a recording of a Gil Scott-Heron & Brian Jackson concert in New York. It is available to buy through Wolfgang’s Vault.
This is the pair playing live thirteen months after the first live album, It’s Your World was recorded. This time, the pair (together with the Midnight Band) were promoting the Bridges studio album. (In fact, Gil says on the recording that it is released “next week”.)
