Diana Ross, Florence Ballard and Mary Wilson as The Supremes became on of the best selling singles acts in the 1960s.
Diana Ross gained the most attention and became their lead singer and the group were billed as Diana Ross and The Supremes. This caused problems with Ballard and she left in 1967, replaced by Cindy Birdsong. Ross left in 1970 to pursue a solo career and was replaced by Jean Terrell. (see Diana Ross) The band members changed regularly for a few years before they broke up in 1977.

It was recorded at the New Frontier Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas on January 14, 1970.
It was Diana Ross’ final performance with Mary Wilson and Cindy Birdsong as the Supremes . At the end of the show, her replacement, Jean Terrell was introduced to the audience.

The Supremes At The Copa is a live album by The Supremes.
It was recorded at the Copacabana club in New York in 1965. The Supremes at this stage were Diana Ross, Florence Ballard and Mary Wilson.
Originally the album was issued with 15 tracks and Diana Ross overdubbed her vocals in the studio because the recording was “not up to Motown’s standards.”
