Live Triple Trouble is a compilation live album that builds on the live album included in the previously issued Double Trouble.
It pulls together live performances from four sources:
Double Trouble is a double album by Gillan, the band formed by Ian Gillan when he returned to hard rock. It has also been sold as single albums, split into volume 1 and volume 2.
The first album was recorded in the studio and the original second album was mainly recorded live in concert at the Reading Festival in 1980.
The live CD has since been supplemented by five bonus songs from a concert at the Rainbow Theatre on 4 March 1981 and Reading Festival on 29 August 1981.

Unlike the band’s first live album Are You Ready, this presents the group performing at a single concert.

It was recorded at the Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver, Canada and broadcast live on Toronto radio on 17 January 1981.
Bonus tracks have also been added which include songs played on Saturday Night Live in 1980, a recording with Frank Zappa in 1975 and three songs from a 1971 radio broadcast.
It was released in 2011 after the Captain died December 17, 2010.
