Boogie rock came out of the blues rock of the late 1960s and is known for its repetitive, hard driving rhythm.
It’s not sophisticated but when it’s done well, it is exciting.
Status Quo in the UK had a lot of success with plenty of hit singles and albums. Other boogie rock bands were not as successful at crossing over into the mainstream but are popular with those that know.
