A much expanded version has been released in 2009.

It was recorded at the Royal Theatre, Baltimore, Maryland in November 1963. The album was released in 1964 to build on the success of the legendary Live At The Apollo album.

It includes one studio recorded track – Oh Baby, Don’t You Weep – which has audience sounds added to it.

Best Otis Redding Live Album

We only have three sources of material for experiencing Otis Redding performing live, or at least that’s all that’s been discovered so far.

  • April 1966 at the Whisky A Go Go
  • The Stax Volt tour of Europe in March 1967
  • The Monterey International Pop Festival in June 1967 where Redding was restricted to performing only 5 songs.
