The vast majority of these tracks were recorded in 1967 with the exception of tracks 15 to 19

These live in the studio recordings are a halfway house between the studio albums and a proper live in concert recording. For many artists, it’s the closest they’ve come to releasing a live album and they often present a raw, more urgent sound. However we have plenty of proper live albums by Jimi Hendrix which I think are better.
