Live Albums By Buzzcocks
Buzzcocks were one of the original British punk rock band starting in 1976 in Bolton (near Manchester) with Pete Shelley and Howard Devoto who soon left to form Magazine.
The name isn’t as rude as it sounds. In Northern English slang, buzz means exciting and cock is mate although you can understand confusion since their first release was an EP called Orgasm Addict.
They are best known for the enduring classic song “Ever Fallen in Love (With Someone You Shouldn’t’ve)” which got to #12 in the UK singles chart and is a great example of their hook laden songs.
It’s useful to see the timing of the studio albums before looking in detail at their live albums.
Studio Albums By Buzzcocks
Some of their best known songs came from the Orgasm Addict EP and their singles before any albums were released which helps to explain why they don’t have an absolute classic punk rock studio album.
