Live Albums By Stevie Ray Vaughan
Blues rock flourished in the late 1960s and 1970s but as stars like Eric Clapton matured to a lighter, more commercial sound, the genre was in trouble until Stevie Ray Vaughan energised it again.
Sadly he died on August 27, 1990, killed in a helicopter crash along with members of Eric Clapton’s entourage.
He left us with some thrilling, dynamic blues rock studio and live albums and he’s formed the bridge from those early years to the revival with modern day stars like Joe Bonamassa.
