This is largely an acoustic album ans he plays most of his 1984 album I Often Dream Of Trains which Wikipedia describes as psych folk.
Helping Hitchcock in the performance were:
Terry Edwards – vocals, keyboards, trumpet, soprano sax, guitar
Tim Keegan – vocals, guitar
Plus guests Gaida Hinnawi (vocals) and Amir El Saffar (trumpet).
This has plenty of charm and highlights both the quirkiness of Hitchcock and his ability to write beautifully melodic songs. If you’ve only hear his live album, Gotta Let This Hen Out, it is very different.
