German electronic and progressive rock group Tangerine Dream established a strong position in the 1970s.
I normally look at the studio albums before delving into the live albums but this doesn’t work for Tangerine Dream , for two reasons;
1) They have released over 100 albums
2) Their live albums often include material that has never featured on a studio album. When these recordings are adjusted in the studio, the distinction between live and studio recordings starts to become unclear.

Ricochet is a live album by Tangerine Dream.
It was recorded on tour in England and France in 1975 and it’s said that it’s been pieced together from different concerts. That’s fairly common for tour based live albums but what makes it more unusual is that there are only two tracks.
Tangerine Dream were well known for their improvisations (like a jazz group) but with synthesizers.
