Denver 1979 is a live album by Rainbow. It has been released on vinyl and as an mp3 download by Cleopatra Records (UK) and Purple Pyramid Records (USA).

It was recorded on the Down To Earth tour and catches Rainbow in the transition phase between the hard rock band they were with Ronnie James Dio and the AOR band they became.

By this stage, singer John Lawton was well established as the replacement for David Bryon and had recorded Firefly, Innocent Victim and Fallen Angel and these albums provide eight of the songs featured.

It was recorded Ludwigshaven, Frieburg, Manchester, Offenbach and London with the German recordings made in January 1979 and the UK recordings from March 1979.

Teddy Pendergrass Live Coast To Coast 1978 1979

Live Coast To Coast is a live album by Teddy Pendergrass, originally the lead singer for  Harold Melvin & the Blue Notes.

It collects together live recordings from three sources:

  • Tracks 1-1 to 1-6 were recorded at the Philadelphia College of Performing Arts, Shubert Theater in Philadelphia on August 10th, August 11th and August 12th, 1978.
  • Tracks 2-1 to 2-5 were recorded live at The Greek Theater in Los Angeleson September 6th and September 8th, 1979.
  • Tracks 2-6 to 2-12 were recorded at the Sigma Sound Studios in Philadelphia for WDAS-FM.

His terrible road accident in 1982 left him paralyzed from the chest down.

It was recorded at the Paris Theatre in London on the 5th December 1979 according to Discogs. However the BBC have released a very similar recording for The Specials and said it was recorded at the Palace Theatre on the 15th December 1979.
