The BBC Sessions is a live album by Rennaissance recorded by the BBC.
It covers the period from 1975 to 1978 when prog rock was no longer fashionable but this is proof that there was still interesting music to be made. It’s the vocals of Annie Haslam that have helped me find a place for the band in my album collection.

It was recorded on tour in March 1978 while the band were promoting their Ocean studio album.

When it was originally released in 1979 as a double live album on vinyl, side four consisted of studio recordings – Talking To The Sun, 1988 Aktivator, New Age Synthesis and Healing Feeling. These have since been replaced by a live recording of Solar Musick Suite.

Different Stages is an interesting live album by Rush depending on your thoughts about how they’ve progressed over the years.
Moist of the first two CDs come from the 1997 Test for Echo tour with three songs from the 1994 Counterparts tour.A large proportion of the 1997 songs came from teh concert at the World Ampitheater in Chicago on June 14th, 1997.
The third disc has a performance in London from the A Farewell to Kings tour in 1978.
Two For The Show is a live album by American progressive rock / AOR group Kansas which was recorded in 1977 and 1978.

Jethro Tull are a hard band to classify but I’ve found over the years that I’ve acquired quite a few of their studio albums.
Yesshows is the second live album from Yes and captures the group live between 1976 and 1978. This is when Yes and the other dinosaur bands were being challenged by punk.
During the period Yes changed keyboard players with Patrick Moraz leaving and Rick Wakeman returning. Moraz plays on the two very long tracks, The Gates of Delirium and Ritual – Nous Sommes du Soleil with Wakeman on the others.
