10cc were a very talented mid 70s art rock band who wrote clever songs often packed with humour.

The band was originally Graham Gouldman, Eric Stewart, Kevin Godley, and Lol Creme.
Together they recorded four good studio albums together

10cc After The Split
Then Kevin Godley, and Lol Creme went their own way with the creation of the “gizmo” and a triple album called Consequences. They had a few hits later.
Graham Gouldman, Eric Stewart, the remaining members had short term success as a pop-rock group with songs like Dreadlock Holiday and The Things We Do For Love.
But something was missing. They continued to produce sweet pop songs but like Paul McCartney without John Lennon, that special ingredient had been lost. Their first two albums, Deceptive Bends and Bloody Tourists sold well in their UK heartland but things than faded quickly.

The 10cc Live Album I Want
I’d love to see a 10cc live recording from the 1976 How Dare You tour released as an official live album to capture this band at its peak.
For example, the Knebworth Festival in 1976 included The Rolling Stones, 10cc, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Todd Rundgren’s Utopia , Hot Tuna , Don Harrison Band.

I understand that Lynyrd Skynyrd blew all the fuses before 10cc appeared and the sound was rough, particularly at the beginning. That may not be the concert to create a live album but I do like the look of the set list.
In fact the Knebworth recording has been part of a limited edition Knebworth box set but not the 10cc part on its own.

10cc Live In Concert is a live album by 10cc that I found when I was looking through my iPod and I realised I hadn’t mentioned it on here..
This was issued by Pickwick Records originally in 1977.
I think it is a shortened version of the Live and Let Live album recorded in 1977.
While the album cover has the four original members of 10cc on it, this is 10cc with Eric Stewart and Graham Gouldman but without Kevin Godley and Lol Creme.

What is the best 10cc live album?
This underrated group created some great singles in the mid 70s and a live album with a beef-up “in concert” sound should be great.
I’m not sure it works out quite like that with 10cc because of the split in the group after the How Dare You studio album.
The 10cc live album the world wants will have all four original members and be recorded in 1975 or 76.
We don’t yet have that. We have an early live recording after the Sheet Music album and then a number of live albums released without featuring Kevin Godly and Lol Creme.

Alive In Japan is a live album by art rock / pop rock band 10cc.
The live albums issued under the 10cc brand name are very confusing and it appears that Ali9ve in Japan is an extended version of 10cc Live.
This is another album by the Graham Gouldman and Eric Stewart version of the band so the emphasis is on melodic pop but without the earlier inventiveness that the original foursome created..
10cc Live is a live album by 10cc. Like Live And Let Live, this is the 10cc with Godley & Creme.
This appears to be a cut-down, single disc version of 10cc Alive In Japan.
10cc In Concert is the UK version of the King Biscuit Flower Hour recording of all the original members of 10cc performing live from the Original Soundtrack tour in November 1975 in Santa Monica.
Strangely, the performance didn’t include any of the tracks from thealbum they were recording.
At least this is the proper 10cc, unlike Live and Let Live and 10cc Live.
