Most fans are probably attracted to investigate Trapeze as they research the background of Mark III Deep Purple bassist, Glenn Hughes. Trapeze were the band he was in before he joined Purple in 1973.
This overshadows a worthy band in their own right who originated a blend of hard rock and funk.
They were a band that went through many personnel changes but the main members responsible for the two albums considered by many to be their best, Medusa and You Are the Music…We’re Just the Band were Hughes, Mel Galley (guitar and vocals) and Dave Holland (drums).
