Wikipedia defines blues rock as follows:
“Blues rock is a musical genre combining bluesy improvisations, commonly over the twelve-bar blues, with rock styles. The core of the blues rock sound is usually created by the electric guitar, piano, bass guitar and drum kit, with the electric guitar often amplified…The style began to develop in the mid-1960s in Britain and the United States. British bands, such as John Mayall & the Bluesbreakers, the Rolling Stones, the Yardbirds and the Animals and American bands such as the Butterfield Blues Band and the Siegel–Schwall Band, experimented with music from older African-American bluesmen…”
Out of John Mayall & The Bluesbreakers came Eric Clapton, Peter Green and Mick Taylor while the Yardbirds helped to develop Clapton, Jimmy Page and Jeff Beck.

Meeting With the G-Man: Live at Paradiso, Amsterdam is a live album by Rory Gallagher.
It was recorded in Holland on December 20, 1993.
Gallagher was a terrific performer live in concert and I think his best live albums are much more compelling than his studio recordings.
The latest version of this album has six extra live tracks.

Face The Music: Live On Tour is a live album by Walter Trout and the Free Radicals.
It was recorded at various venues on his world tour in 1999.
His style of fiery, rocking blues is very appealing.

Sco-Mule is a live double album by Gov’t Mule featuring John Scofield.
It was recorded at two concerts in Georgia in December 1999.
If you’re not familiar with John Scofield, he’s an American jazz rock guitarist who played with the Miles Davis band for three years in the early 1980s – see his Wikipedia page for more details.
His style of playing creates a strong contrast with the powerful blues rock of Gov’t Mule that may delight or disappoint fans of both.
I should also point out that these are instrumental tracks and that’s a problem for me. While I love instrumental breaks and solos, I like songs to be grounded with vocals.
I admire Gov’t Mule’s desire to experiment and try new things live in concert like Sco-Mule and the Dark Side Of The Mule and Holy Haunted House and their desire to share these different experiences with their fans.
No More Fish Jokes is a live album by the Walter Trout Band.
Nine songs were recorded at the Skanderborg Festival in Denmark on August 10th, 1991 and three at De Hanehof in Holland on December 17th, 1992. According to Discogs.com, tracks 8, 9 and 10 are the ones from Holland.
Before going solo, Trout had played with Canned Heat and John Mayall’s Bluesbreakers where he forged his reputation as a fine guitarist.

Live In 99 is a live album and DVD by George Thorogood and the Destroyers.
It was recorded at the Fox Theater in St. Louis, Missouri on June 6, 1999.
This album has been repackaged as Extended Versions with a different song order and one song less but stick with this if you want a good selection of their live albums.
Let’s Work Together Live is a live album by George Thorogood and the Destroyers.
It was recorded at Mississippi Nights in St. Louis, Missouri on December 2–3, 1994 and at Center Stage in Atlanta on December 5, 1994. The album was released in 1995.

An Evening with the Allman Brothers Band: 2nd Set is a live album by The Allman Brothers Band.
The majority of the album was recorded in 1994.
Road Tested is a live album by Bonnie Raitt and her band.
It was recorded at the Paramount Theatre in Oakland, California at her concerts between July 11th to 19th, 1995.
While she released her first studio album in 1971, it wasn’t until November 1995 that she recorded and released this, her first official live album.
It comes in two forms:
I think the 22 track version is for North America and the single CD is for Europe. Certainly I bought the shorter version, unaware that there was a more extensive album. If the same thing happens to you, the Amazon mp3 Autorip has all 22 songs and they can all be bought individually.
There is also a DVD called Road Tested.

Orpheum Theatre, Boston, Massachusetts on March 3 & 4, 1992
Beacon Theatre, New York, New York on March 10 & 11, 1992
This band includes Warren Haynes and Allen Woody of Gov’t Mule.
There is a very similar sounding album called An Evening with the Allman Brothers Band: Second Set which did not comes from the same concerts but some later gigs in 1994.
