This gives us back the two missing tracks within the main concert and adds on four bonus songs. Amazon says that all four come from The Forum on December 19th but three are marked down as 1991 and the other 1981. I’m unsure of the truth but would hope that the earlier date is correct.
I like Rod Stewart, well at least until the late 1970s, but I’m also frustrated by him. I’ve lost my copy of Coast To Coast and I want it re-released because I’m not paying the high second hand prices for the CD. Worse I want more live recordings from The Faces in the early 1970s and I’d appreciate plenty of solo songs as well.
This is a good live album without hitting the heights that I believe Rod and the Faces could reach on a great night. Even with the extended version, it’s missing too many of the songs I really want to hear and I always liked the yin and yang of the Stewart and Lane tracks on The Faces albums.
I keep hoping that we’ll see something else from the early 1970s.
