Tom Petty And The Heartbreakers had great success with their studio albums including Damn the Torpedoes (1979), Hard Promises (1981), Southern Accents (1985) and Into the Great Wide Open (1991) but they don’t have a highly acclaimed live album to they extent that they deserve.
A big reason for this is because they have released compilations of live albums like Pack Up The Plantation: Live! and The Live Anthology that cover many years instead of a single date or single tour summary.
In recent years the grey market has seen radio broadcast recordings appear due to different copyright laws in the different countries.
