Al Kooper Live Soul Of A Man 1994

Live: Soul Of A Man is a live album by Al Kooper, founder member of Blood, Sweat & Tears and The Blues Project.

It was recorded at The Bottom Line club in New York City on February 4,5 and 6 1994.

Kooper is performing with three different bands, Blood, Sweat & Tears disguised as Child Is Father To The Man, Blues Project and his own band, the Rekooperators. I don’t know if he played a night with each or the bands shuffled on and off the stage. On the album, the songs are interspersed without any jarring changes.

Jefferson Starship Deeper Space / Extra Virgin Sky 1995

Deeper Space / Extra Virgin Sky is an extension of the live album Deep Space/Virgin Sky by Jefferson Airplane.

Because both albums are available separately, I’m treating them as different.

Jefferson Starship Deep Space/Virgin Sky 1995

Deep Space/Virgin Sky is a live album by Jefferson Starship.

It was recorded at House of Blues, West Hollywood, California on January 21st, 1995.

The album was released in June 1995 and extended to a double CD in 2003 and sold as Deeper Space / Extra Virgin Sky.

Since both these albums are still available, I think it’s best to treat them separately given the different name which suggests a different, later live recording.

While the name has changed from Airplane to Starship, the band didn’t ignore their earlier material.

Peter Frampton Comes Alive II 1995

Frampton Coms Alive II is a live album by Peter Frampton.

It is the follow-up to the incredibly successful Frampton Comes Alive from 1975.

According to Amazon.com this was recorded at the Fillmore West in San Francisco on June 15th and June 16th,1995 while Wikipedia indicates the recordings came from August 1992 through to June 16, 1995.

Since the album was reissued with four extra songs, it might be that these hits didn’t come from the Fillmore concerts.
