Live Classic Rock Albums From The 2000s
To help you to find albums that you like, I have organised this website around genres of music with the general guideline that albums should only belong to one or two genres.
My classic rock section consists of albums that are generally successful and don’t belong in one of the more specialised categories. Often groups will start in one category and as they become more successful, they broaden out their sound and become more acceptable to the mainstream and are, therefore, classic rock.

The All Time Best Classic Rock Live Albums
I don’t have a readers poll on finding the best live classic rock albums from this decade but I do have a poll to find the best all time classic rock live albums.
Because there are so many excellent classic rock live albums I have split the poll into two and you may find some of your favourites in the second division. Albums will be promoted when they get enough votes.

Paul Rodgers Live In Glasgow 2006
Live In Glasgow is a live album and DVD of a concert by Paul Rodgers on 13th October 2006, very much focused on his days in Free.
Rodgers is in great voice and the album leans heavily on his days in Free and Bad Company.

The Who Live At The Royal Albert Hall 2000
Live At The Royal Albert Hall is a live album by The Who recorded on 27 November 2000.
This is the same version of the band that is so good on Blues To The Bush.
It was a charity gig for the Teenage Cancer Trust and this attracted some big name guest stars… but do you really think they are better singers than Roger Daltrey?

The Rolling Stones Live Licks 2003
Live Licks is a live album by The Rolling Stones from their 2002/3 and features Sheryl Crow and Solomon Burke as guest stars.
I had to buy this album when I saw that finally they’d played Can’t You Hear Me Knocking from Sticky Fingers.
The Rolling Stones Live Licks
Roxy Music Live 2001
Roxy Music Live is a record of how this great group sounded on the 2001 world tour after being apart from 1983.
Until this album, Roxy Music have been relatively poorly served by the quality of their live albums – Viva, Concerto / Ladytron and Heart Still Beating. I think plenty of people have been burnt by the confusing releases from the 1979/80 tours.
Roxy Music Live
My Rating – 24 out of 30 (that feels stingy but it’s what the three individual ratings add up to).

Bruce Springsteen Live In New York City 2000
Live In New York City captures Bruce Springsteen reunited with the E Street Band in 2000. Their first concert together for 11 years.
For me Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band belong together like strawberries and cream. One without the other doesn’t feel right and it’s going to be tough hearing them play again with a replacement for the Big Man (Clarence Clemons).
Bruce Springsteen Live In New York City Overall Rating – 25/30
